A Pilot-First Process Built for Operational Accountability

Before we recommend eTemp for your portfolio, we measure it. Every engagement starts with data loggers on your existing units—giving you the baseline you need to verify performance gains with precision.

From Baseline to Verified Savings

1
Baseline Measurement
1–2 Weeks Setup + 30 Days

What We Do

We install calibrated data loggers on your refrigeration units for a minimum of 30 days. These devices record compressor run time, energy consumption, and temperature cycling intervals throughout normal operation—capturing your real-world performance, not manufacturer estimates.

What You Receive

A detailed baseline report showing:

  • Average daily energy consumption per unit (kWh)
  • Compressor cycle frequency and duration
  • Temperature variance data
  • Projected annual operating cost at current performance levels

Why It Matters

Most energy efficiency engagements ask you to accept projected savings built on industry averages. We build your projection from your equipment, your usage patterns, and your facilities. The baseline becomes the benchmark against which all post-install performance is measured.

No commitment is required at this stage. The baseline data is yours to keep.

Installation
Same Day

What We Do

Our certified technicians install the eTemp device on each refrigeration unit. Professional installation is available at $95 per unit. The process is non-invasive: no refrigerant lines are opened, no existing components are modified, and no new points of failure are introduced to the system.

Compatibility

eTemp works with both electronic and mechanical thermostats across all major commercial refrigeration brands. Walk-ins, reach-ins, prep coolers, beverage merchandisers, under-counter units—eTemp integrates with your existing fleet without requiring upgrades or replacements.

Time on Site

Installation per unit is completed in under an hour. For multi-unit pilots, our team coordinates installation schedules around your operating hours to minimize any disruption to kitchen or floor operations.

What Changes

Nothing visible changes about your refrigeration system's operation. Internal temperature ranges are maintained within existing specifications. The eTemp device works by recovering waste energy from the refrigeration cycle—extending compressor off-cycles, reducing run time, and lowering energy draw without compromising food safety or temperature compliance.

3
Verified Savings
30+ Days

What We Do

Data loggers remain active on all pilot units for a minimum of 30 days post-installation. The same metrics captured during the baseline period are recorded under identical conditions: compressor run time, energy consumption, and temperature cycling intervals.

What You Receive

A verified savings report with side-by-side pre- and post-installation data:

  • Actual energy reduction per unit (kWh, %)
  • Compressor cycle reduction (%)
  • Projected annual savings at current energy rates
  • Projected payback period per unit and across your portfolio
  • Environmental impact estimate (CO₂ reduction per system)

What Comes Next

The verified savings report is structured for internal presentation—suitable for CFO review and capital planning. For portfolio rollouts, we work with your facilities and procurement teams to structure a phased deployment schedule that fits budget cycles and operational constraints.

Lifetime Warranty

Single-vendor accountability for the life of the device. Made in the USA with patented technology.

How the Technology Works

eTemp's patented refrigeration waste recovery technology captures thermal energy generated during the refrigeration cycle that would otherwise be expelled as waste heat. By redirecting this energy back into the system, the device extends compressor off-cycles, reduces the frequency and duration of compressor run time, and maintains temperature stability with significantly less energy input. The result is a refrigeration system that maintains the same operating performance while drawing materially less power.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will eTemp affect the operating temperature inside my refrigeration units?

No. The device maintains your existing temperature setpoints within the same specification ranges. Food safety and temperature compliance are not affected. Post-installation monitoring confirms temperature performance alongside energy metrics during every pilot.

How long does the pilot program take from start to finish?

A standard pilot runs 60 to 90 days total: approximately 30 days of pre-installation baseline measurement, followed by device installation, followed by 30+ days of post-installation monitoring. The final verified savings report is delivered within two weeks of the monitoring period's close.

Does eTemp work with our existing thermostats?

Yes. eTemp is compatible with both electronic and mechanical thermostats and integrates with all major commercial refrigeration equipment brands. No thermostat replacement or modification is required.

How many units should we include in a pilot?

We recommend a minimum of five units for a statistically meaningful baseline. For multi-site operators, pilots are often structured around a single representative location—enough units to capture meaningful variance across unit types—before scaling to the broader portfolio.

What does professional installation involve, and do we need to be present?

A certified technician installs the device on each unit in under an hour. The process is non-invasive and does not require shutting down the refrigeration unit or removing product. Your facilities or maintenance team does not need to be hands-on during installation, though a site contact for access is required.

What data do we receive, and in what format?

You receive a baseline report (pre-installation) and a verified savings report (post-installation). Both are delivered as structured documents formatted for internal review and CFO presentation—including per-unit metrics, portfolio-level projections, and ROI timeline. Data logger logs are available on request.
